Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for jumping on this absurd backroom deal that could have resulted in killing the Protect Education initiative. Your voices made a HUGE difference. The coup de grace was Biggs jumping in saying no voucher reform at all was acceptable. That made the deal so incredibly toxic that Hobbs and the Dems couldn't sign on. The deal, like the wicked witch, is dead, dead, dead. You are all superstars!!! |

Protecting consumers from insider trading is a hallmark of great leadership. The CLARITY Act lacks ethics rules to stop officials from profiting off crypto while writing the laws. We look to Sen. Gallego to lead the way on transparency. Vote NO. 📞 (202) 224-4521 @gallego.senate.gov https://act.indivisible.org/sign/urge-democrats-oppose-and-stop-trumps-crypto-corruption/ |
CLARITY Act update — action still needed
The Senate just left for July 4th recess (back July 13) with the CLARITY Act still unresolved. Negotiations collapsed earlier this month over an ethics provision targeting Trump's crypto holdings, and at least four major issues remain open. Passage odds have dropped from 74% to around 42% in the past month.
Sen. Gallego has not publicly opposed the bill — he's still at the table, but hasn't committed to a floor vote. The window between July 13 and August 8 (when August recess begins) is the last realistic shot for 2026 passage.
Now is the time to contact Gallego! Constituent pressure during recess and right when senators return is exactly when it counts!! The campaign will continue until Aug. 8 or until this bill is dead — whichever comes first.

Register for Indivisible's Immigrant Justice Summer Training Series, beginning July 9, to learn how to build a safe, hyper-local, immigrant-aligned response when ICE comes to your community. ICE announced it’s offloading 7 of the 11 warehouses it bought for mass detention after communities across the country organized, sued, and showed up. With $70 billion in new DHS funding, the fight isn’t over. We need to be prepared on how to respond in our own communities. Immigrant Justice Summer will give you the tools you need.
