Basic Event Info
On Saturday, April 5th, we rise up with one demand: Hands Off!
This is a nationwide mobilization to stop the most brazen power grab in modern history. Trump, Musk, and their billionaire cronies are orchestrating an all-out assault on our government, our economy, and our basic rights—enabled by Congress every step of the way.
They want to strip America for parts—shuttering Social Security offices, firing essential workers, eliminating consumer protections, and gutting Medicaid—all to bankroll their billionaire tax scam. They’re handing over our tax dollars, our public services, and our democracy to the ultra-rich.
If we don’t fight now, there won’t be anything left to save.
Our demands are simple:
● REMOVE Donald Trump & Elon Musk from the White House
● REVERSE the damage they have done
● RECLAIM Democracy to serve the working class!
Join us in Tucson, AZ to come together and demonstrate the power of the people. We will not go down without a fight! https://events.pol-rev.com/events/e8d86e41-009e-4ebf-862a-cc7b25f4f90c

● Medics on site! Flag anyone in a hi-vis vest or Mobilize Tucson shirt for assistance.
● PeaceKeepers on site! This is a peaceful demonstration, and our primary focus is deescalation.
Schedule/Plan:

● Some live music
● Chants throughout the protest
Sincerely,
Mobilize Tucson, 50501

PARKING
Refer to the annotated line map of Reid Park posted above.
This map shows all the parking lots in Reid Park and where to enter them. All parking lots have several (4-12) handicap parking spaces. There is a lot of parking on the west side of Randolph Way south from Arroyo Chico / Camino Campestre toward the zoo. There is a parking lot at the entrance to the Reid Park Zoo (shown on the map) although this lot is intended for visitors to the zoo. There are also parking lots along Alvernon Way between Broadway and 22nd; from those you can walk the David Bell Path Loop to 22nd. (The David Bell Path Loop runs along Randolph, 22nd, Alvernon, and Broadway.) Finally, parking is also available in the neighborhoods surrounding Reid Park -- obey all parking signs.
If you are able to walk a bit, it is suggested that you park a ways away from the event location, to leave closer parking lots to those with mobility issues. The lot closest to the event is the one that runs along 22nd from the entrance off Lakeshore Drive toward Country Club. It has at least ten handicap parking spaces, and is close to accessible bathrooms (more on bathrooms below). The earlier you arrive, the more choices you will have for parking.
BATHROOMS
On the pdf map linked above, the bathrooms are shown as tiny boxes accompanied by the tiny initials "C.S.", and circled in red. Most if not all are accessible bathrooms. The bathrooms near the closest parking lot, just below "FIELD #6" on the map, are definitely accessible. There are at least six bathrooms, most north of the Rose Garden, including two on either side of the Demeester Stage. There are no public bathrooms at the Zoo other than the ones you can get to if you enter the zoo, and as far as we know there aren't any along Alvernon (or along 22nd between Alvernon and Randolph Way).
